The Ghibli Museum, the first and only museum dedicated to the anime works of Studio Ghibli in Japan, held anti-terrorism exercises last month. The exercises were the first such drills ever held in the museum and in Mitaka, a city west of Tokyo.

The data was compiled by the Japanese Book of the Year Action Committee from six retail chains with 674 stores (185 Mazawa Shoten Group stores, 89 Sanyodo Shoten stores, 43 Seibunkan Shoten stores, 90 Asahiya Shoten stores, 39 Futaba Tosho stores, and 228 Bunkyodo Group stores) and from sales made between January 1 and December 10, 2007.
